Michelle has spent 14 years working as a behaviour and autism consultant in Newfoundland as well as the Toronto Region. She began working as a Behaviour Management Specialist with a the Community Behavioural Services Program in 2002 where she was also active on the Board of Directors for Community Supportive Employment Corproation before moving to Toronto in 2006.
As a Behaviour Consultant with the Geneva Centre for Autism, Michelle worked with families and professionals, providing behaviour services, teaching workshops and was involved in provincial government’s autism training initiative. In 2008, Michelle began working as a consultant with Kerry’s Place Autism Services, providing services to individuals and families. She was involved in developing numerous workshops for organizations including Autism Ontario, the Royal Ontario Museum and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health’s Asperger Parent Groups. Currently, Michelle is working with the Ontario government where she has spent the last number of years working in various roles with the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.
Michelle lives in the Upper Beach area with her wife and son where she is a Beaver leader with the 4th Toronto Scout Group. She also continues to provide private behaviour consultation upon request.
